STEP DADS
Bellingham, WA
Nate Kahn: Guitar & Vox
Nick Barker: Bass Guitar
Isaac Petersen: Drums & Percussion
Zach Sullivan: Guitar & Vox
From relentless rehearsing and late night recording, the members of Step Dads have grown together as musicians.
Following the release of their debut EP (Quarter-Life Crisis), the groups sophomore-follow-up will be released this August via LifeVest Records.

Equal parts Mac DeMarco and Ty Seagall, Memento touches on everything from romantic skepticism, political tribulation, chronic depression, to substance dependency - all while remaining true to the pop sensibilities that have gained the group such a dedicated and loyal fanbase.

WHAT'S UP MAGAZINE
"The house is packed. As soon as you enter through the front door you barely have enough room to stand, let alone dance. Slowly you squeeze your way through the crowd of sweaty college students to get a glimpse at the band playing in the living room...Inspired by Seattle band, The Naked Giants, Step Dads say they have been focusing on transitions and creating the illusion that their entire set flows as one song. This means concentrating on finding a good combination of on stage banter and musicianship."
WESTERN FRONT
"Since none of the members are 21 years old yet, Step Dads also seek out locations that can accommodate fans of all ages.
'I think our music appeals to people of all ages,'Â Kahn said. 'I really like supporting the DIY culture. I really like the ethics behind people having performances in their house and performances in spaces where people of all socioeconomic backgrounds are welcome.' "
